Chelsea and Manchester United are both in action on Saturday, as they host Sunderland and Burnley respectively.
Several sides should be well rested after most of last weekend’s fixtures were postponed because of the snow.
Stoke v Liverpool
Liverpool will be looking to recover from their midweek FA Cup defeat against Reading.
That 2-1 loss means the Reds’ only realistic hope of silverware comes via the Europa League.
Rafael Benitez’s side have, however, won their last two Barclays Premier League fixtures, against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa.
Stoke ended a run of three straight Barclays Premier League defeats with a pressure-relieving 3-2 win over Fulham last time out.
Chelsea v Sunderland
Chelsea are coming under increased pressure from Manchester United and Arsenal at the top of the league.
They are one point clear of United and three ahead of Arsenal. Their match against Hull City last weekend was postponed, although their two main rivals could only cut the Blues’ lead by a point.
Sunderland’s away form is poor, as they have won just once on the road in 10 matches this season.
The Black Cats were leading the reverse fixture earlier in the season, but Chelsea hit back to win 3-1 at the Stadium of Light.
Man Utd v Burnley
The reverse fixture at Turf Moor was the scene of one of the biggest shocks so far this season as Robbie Blake hit the only goal to secure a famous 1-0 win for Burnley.
That was one of four defeats away from home so far for United, but at Old Trafford they have garnered 25 points from a possible 30.
Burnley are looking for their first victory in 10 matches, but they need to avoid going behind as United are the only side in the league not to have dropped any points from a winning position this season.
Portsmouth v Birmingham
Portsmouth host a Birmingham City side unbeaten in 12 Barclays Premier League matches.
Pompey are four points adrift at the bottom of the table and will need to rely on their home form if they are to get out of the relegation zone – they have won just once on the road.
In the last nine meetings between the sides, there have been three wins apiece and three draws.
Tottenham v Hull City
Hull City will be out for revenge after a Jermain Defoe-inspired Tottenham beat them 5-1 at the KC Stadium earlier in the season.
Defoe hit a hat-trick and currently sits joint top of the scorers chart with Didier Drogba and Wayne Rooney on 14 goals.
All three of the matches Tottenham and Hull have played in the Barclays Premier League have ended in away wins.
Wolves v Wigan
These teams are level on 19 points, with Wolves having played a match more.
Wolves have scored the fewest goals in the Barclays Premier League this season, while Wigan have conceded the most.
After beating Wigan 1-0 earlier in the season, Wolves will be looking to record a double over another Premier League team for the first time in their history.
Everton v Man City
Manchester City will be looking to extend their four-match winning run at the expense of Everton.
City’s 2-1 win at Goodison Park last season was their first there since October 1992, a run of 10 matches.
Carlos Tevez has hit 10 goals in his last seven Barclays Premier League matches.
