Manchester United aim to go back to the top of the Barclays Premier League as they host Portsmouth.
With leaders Chelsea not in action until Sunday, the champions can overhaul them with a victory against the bottom club.
Liverpool and Everton meet at Anfield in a mouth-watering Merseyside derby and the day finishes with a big match which could have a major impact on the race for a Champions League spot as Tottenham Hotspur take on Aston Villa.
Liverpool v Everton
Liverpool have taken 14 points from a possible 18 during an unbeaten run of six matches in the Barclays Premier League. They have conceded just one goal in that time.
Everton have gone nine league matches without defeat to ease up to ninth place. Their last league defeat was against their local rivals.
They have won four of their last five, conceding just four goals in seven league outings.
But they have not won at Anfield since 27th September 1999, losing four and drawing six of their short visits since a solitary Kevin Campbell goal gave them victory.
Bolton v Fulham
Bolton have kept just one clean sheet in their last 24 league matches and are kept out of the relegation zone only on goal difference.
Wanderers have won only two of their last 13 and have triumphed in just three of 17 Premier League meetings with the Cottagers.
Before their midweek victory over bottom club Portsmouth, Fulham had lost five in a row and had gone six without a win.
Roy Hodgson’s men have not won on the road in 11 attempts since August, losing their last four.
Burnley v West Ham
Burnley have gone 12 Barclays Premier League matches without a victory and are still looking for their first point under new manager Brian Laws.
They have scored just four goals in their last nine outings and have lost their last four.
The Clarets won five of their first six home fixtures in the Barclays Premier League but have failed to take three points in five Turf Moor encounters since.
West Ham United’s only victory in their last nine came against bottom club Portsmouth and they are still seeking their first away win since the opening day of the campaign.
The Hammers have drawn their last three and have scored just once in their last four but they have won three and drawn one of their four visits to Turf Moor since 1978.
Hull City v Man City
This will be Hull City’s third home match in a week. The Tigers have lost just one of their last eight in front of their own fans and that was against Manchester United. They held leaders Chelsea to a 1-1 draw in midweek and will be a tough test for Manchester City.
However Phil Brown’s men have gone 10 league matches without a win and are stuck in the drop zone.
City have won five of their last six Barclays Premier League matches but have won only one of their last nine away from Eastlands.
Manchester City have not come out on top in their last six visits to Hull City.
Man Utd v Portsmouth
The champions have won 10 and drawn one of their 12 matches at Old Trafford where they have conceded just one goal in their last seven - and they know another victory would put them back on top of the table, for at least 24 hours.
United have won all six Premier League home meetings against Pompey, conceding just one goal. Wayne Rooney has scored nine goals in 12 matches against the south coast club.
Portsmouth have not won in eight on the road in the Barclays Premier League and are facing their third away fixture inside a week having already lost at Manchester City and Fulham.
They have picked up only one point from a possible 15 and have won just one of their last 25 away from home.
Stoke v Blackburn
Stoke City are unbeaten in 2010 and have lost only one of their last seven league outings at the Britannia Stadium.
Manager Tony Pulis is hoping for a victory to celebrate his 300th match in charge of the Potters.
Blackburn Rovers are picking up form, taking seven points from a possible nine. But they have gone six without a win on their travels.
Both sides are unbeaten in their last three and come into this fixture on the back of a goalless draw.
Sunderland v Wigan
Sunderland have won only one of their last 14 and are second from bottom in the current form table, looking nervously over their shoulders just three points clear of the drop zone.
They have taken just four points from a possible 30 and have beaten the Latics only once in their seven Premier League meetings. They have netted just three times in their last five home matches.
Wigan Athletic will want to bounce back from their shock FA Cup home defeat by Notts County in midweek.
Roberto Martinez has seen his side win just once in their last eight league matches.
Spurs v Aston Villa
Tottenham Hotspur have taken 10 points from a possible 12 at White Hart Lane where they have kept four successive clean sheets.
However, they have won only once in the league in 2010.
Aston Villa have won three of their last four away fixtures and would leapfrog Harry Redknapp’s men with another success on their travels.
They won 2-1 at White Hart Lane last season, their first victory there in nine visits.
