Arsenal versus Liverpool is a particular highlight on Wednesday but there are plenty of other intriguing match-ups.
Not least Manchester United’s trip to Aston Villa as the two sides continue to chase their respective targets of the title and Champions League football.
Leaders Chelsea travel to Everton in another standout fixture at Goodison Park.
Elsewhere, West Ham United host Birmingham City, Wolverhampton Wanderers entertain Tottenham Hotspur and Hull City travel to Blackburn Rovers looking to continue their recent improved form.
Arsenal v Liverpool
Liverpool are third in the current form table after their recent upturn in fortunes. The Reds have lost just once since their 2-1 defeat to Arsenal at Anfield on 13th December.
Andrey Arshavin scored the winner in that match and his four-goal salvo in the Anfield fixture last season should ensure the Liverpool defenders pay him close attention at the Emirates Stadium.
The victory at Anfield is the only three-point haul Arsenal have secured against any of the teams in the current top four.
Aston Villa v Manchester United
Aston Villa triumphed at Old Trafford earlier in the season courtesy of a Gabriel Agbonlahor strike.
United have lost just once in the league since then – to Fulham – and are only two points behind leaders Chelsea.
Villa have kept four consecutive clean sheets in the Barclays Premier League.
West Ham v Birmingham
West Ham United slipped back into the relegation zone with their 2-1 defeat at Burnley on Saturday.
They played much of the football, but manager Gianfranco Zola was left lamenting more defensive inadequacies.
Birmingham have lost just one of their last 15 outings in the Barclays Premier League, but needed a late quick-fire double from Kevin Phillips to down Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend.
Wolves v Tottenham
Wolves sprung one of the shocks of the season at White Hart Lane earlier in the season when a Kevin Doyle strike gave them a heroic 1-0 win.
That victory saw them achieve successive top-flight victories for the first time in 26 years.
These sides have met on 88 occasions in the league: Wolves have 26 wins, Tottenham 44 and there have been 18 draws.
Tottenham won both encounters the last time that Wolves were in the Premier League (5-2 at White Hart Lane and 2-0 at Molineux).
Blackburn v Hull City
Blackburn enter this match off the back off a 3-0 defeat to Stoke City, but there is a seven point gap between themselves and the relegation zone.
Hull City are upwardly mobile after a 1-1 draw with Chelsea and a 2-1 win over Manchester City.
These sides drew 0-0 in December but Hull missed a number of chances to win the match.
Everton v Chelsea
Everton are the only team in the league to take points away from Stamford Bridge this season after their 3-3 draw in December.
The Toffees were in good form prior to Saturday’s defeat at Liverpool as they had not lost in nine Barclays Premier League matches.
David Moyes will be looking for more of a cutting edge from his team than they displayed at Anfield, but that will not be easy against the league’s joint best defence.
