Manchester United take on Fulham at Old Trafford with both sides having contrasting European fortunes in midweek.

United will be boosted by their excellent 4-0 win over AC Milan that swept them into the Champions League quarter-finals, while Fulham hope to recover from a 3-1 reverse away to Juventus in the Europa League.

Manchester City, who visit Sunderland on Sunday, are aiming to play European football next season with a fourth Champions League place up for grabs.

Manchester United v Fulham

The Red Devils have the best home record in the Barclays Premier League and they go into the match top of the form table.

Fulham have picked up just one victory away from Craven Cottage this term so the odds are stacked against Roy Hodgson’s side.

However, in the reverse fixture Fulham shocked United with a creditable 3-0 victory and would love a repeat scoreline.

Sunderland v Manchester City

Steve Bruce’s Sunderland finally got their first win of 2010 after a brilliant 4-0 success over Bolton Wanderers in midweek.

Hotshot Darren Bent grabbed a hat-trick in that match to take his tally to 18 for the season from 28 matches.

Fifth-placed Manchester City are one of the teams racing to make fourth this season and are currently level on points with fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur with a match in hand.

City won a thrilling corresponding fixture 4-3 against the 10-men Black Cats in December which was manager Mark Hughes’ final match in charge.
