The French striker has scored 10 league goals already this season and netted a penalty as Everton beat Manchester City 2-0 on Saturday.

Everton’s form has been much improved of late, with that result following a creditable 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal.

coming back

Saha told the club’s official website: “I really believe in this team.

“We have players to come back from injury and from the African Cup of Nations. When we have everyone fit and available we will be up there.

“It was tough when we had so many injuries but now confidence is high. We have players coming back and others will be back soon so it’s a real boost for us.

“Is Europe realistic? We just have to keep going. We have a big month coming up. Let’s see how that goes and after that we will decide what’s realistic.”

The Toffees have moved up to 10th place after an indifferent first half to the season and host Sunderland in their next Barclays Premier League match on 27th January. Before that, they play Birmingham City in the FA Cup.
