Wilshere joins Bolton

The midfielder, who has made 15 appearances for the London club, joins the Gunners’ Barclays Premier League rivals in order to gain regular first team experience.

He became Arsenal’s youngest ever league player, when he made his debut against Blackburn Rovers in September 2008 aged 16 years and 256 days old.

Bolton manager Owen Coyle is delighted to add the 18-year-old to his squad as he prepares to move Bolton out of relegation trouble.

He said: “Jack is a talented, young, hungry player who I think has got a bright future ahead of him. He has got an abundance of quality and he will enhance our squad.

“It is similar to the deal with Vladimir Weiss in terms of the belief that I can help the player and the player can help this football club.

“The deals suit all parties concerned if the boys go and deliver on the pitch.”

West Bromwich Albion have confirmed that Paul Robinson has converted his loan spell at Barclays Premier League side Bolton into a permanent deal.

The left-back, who has already spent six months on loan at the Reebok Stadium, has joined Owen Coyle’s side for an undisclosed fee.
